Arena Football in Fort Worth, Texas is where it all started.... I was fresh out of Arizona State University and hungry for experience in the sports marketing realm. Little did I know that I would be selling season tickets and corporate sponsorships to a market that was saturated with the Dallas Cowboys. All of our games were on Monday nights, during the summer months and it was up to me to be creative in the way that I sold tickets and corporate sponsorships. In order for me to be a successful Arena Football executive, I had to customize and recreate the marketing collateral given to me to support the unkown product of Arena Football. From the get go, I learned that creativity, visual appeal, and persistence were the keys to sales and marketing success, especially during that time of internet obscurity and infancy.
